Huay Sua Thao, Thailand

Since 2012 Fair Tourism has collaborated with the Karenni village of Huay Pu Keng (Mae Hong Son province) to transform exploitative tourism into a thriving model of community-based tourism. Now it is the first Karenni village in Thailand to offer unique and ethical activities like homestays, hikes, and workshops. Huay Piu Keng can serve as a benchmark for other Karenni villages to follow in its footsteps.
